Ordering policies


Shipping

Many of our products, including canvas, sails, rudders, tillers, and some ports, are built on demand and ship direct from the manufacturer. If your order includes products from several manufacturers you will receive multiple shipments.

Our standard shipping method is UPS or FedEx ground, although smaller products ship USPS when it is the less expensive option. Some products are too large for UPS or USPS and trucking is required.

To request overnight or expedited delivery please contact us or include a comment with your order. Please note that we do not guarantee expedited shipping will arrive by your required date/time. The cost of expedited shipping is incurred at your risk.

Shipping costs displayed with your order are only an estimate. Actual costs may be lower if we can use USPS Flat Rate Priority Mail, or higher if the shipment size is subject to surcharges by FedEx or UPS. If actual costs are lower we will reduce your shipping charges. If actual costs are higher we will ask your permission prior to shipment.

Each product we sell displays an estimated shipping date under the product description. It is also included in your confirming email.

International shipping: Applicable duty, taxes, and brokerage fees are not estimated. Knowledge and payment of these fees is the responsibility of the buyer.

Shipping hazardous materials: Flammable, corrosive, or dangerous materials may require special shipping methods or incur a surcharge. We will contact you regarding additional charges.

Guarantee and Returns

All items, except those from our Clearance section, are covered by our BeneteauOwners.com Satisfaction Guarantee. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, contact us for a return authorization within 30 days for replacement, re-work, or refund (less shipping and any applicable taxes). Replacement, re-work, or refund is determined at our discretion, based on your needs and the problem you report. This guarantee is extended to 90 days if your purchase is made between October 1st and February 1st.

All sails, canvas, rudders, cushions, tillers, electronics, or any product manufactured for your order is subject to a 30% stocking fee. (Warranty issues excluded, of course.) Rigging cut to your specifications, custom embroidered clothing, and engraved drinkware may not be returned unless defective.

A return authorization is required prior to any return. To get an authorization, complete this return rewuest form or contact customer service. Returned items must be complete, clean, contained in their original packaging, and of a condition suitable for resale. Items which do not meet that criteria are subject to additional stocking fees.

Our Satisfaction Guarantee is over and above any warranty provided by the manufacturer. Please see the product description for information on the manufacturer's warranty, or contact customer service.

If your order is damaged in shipment: Please call the driver's attention to any obvious damage, then contact us immediately. Do not remove the item from its packaging. Or, if the damage is not noted until the package is opened, please retain the shipping materials. Photographs or inspection of the package may be required by the shipper. Please do not attempt to repair or use the product untill the claim is resolved.

We want you to be happy with your purchase and we pledge to do our best to help you get what you want.

Fraud Security

Orders with (a) different shipping and billing addresses and (b) an email address from a free service (i.e., hotmail, yahoo, AOL, gmail, etc.) may be asked to send additional identification, at our discretion.

Liability

Our liability is limited, in any and all circumstances, to the price of the product purchased. We are not respinsible for travel delays, haulouts, yard days, labor costs, or any other claims or expenses.

Cancellations

Order cancellations: There is a 5% fee once we have received funds from your bank, and up to 30% fee if fabrication has begun on sails, canvas, rudders, tillers, any other any item manufactured for your order.

We want you to be happy with your purchase and we pledge to do our best to help you get what you want.

Privacy

We do not sell, rent, or release your name, email address, or other information to anyone. Nor do we authorize any use of this information to any organization other than SailboatOwners.com.

We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our website. These companies may use information (NOT your name, address, email address, telephone number, or purchase history) about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. If you would like more information about this practice or wish to opt out of this program, click here.

If you check a box to receive information from our web site we may send you email of specific interest to users of SailboatOwners.com. No affiliates or partners will contact you.

You will always have the option to quickly and easily remove your address from our mailing list. Automated requests are honored instantly. Requests which must be processed manually can take up to seven days. If you wish to stop our transactional emails (order confirmations, measuring instructions, and customer service messages, please send your email address to the contacts below.

BeneteauOwners.com is part of Sailboat Owners, Inc., founded in 1996 by a couple of avid Pacific Northwest sailors, Phil Herring and Bly Berken.

Our mission is to provide resources, information exchange, and easy-to-buy parts and accessories for Beneteau owners.

Errors

Despite our best efforts, a small number of the items in our catalog may be mispriced. If an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before shipping or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.
